IGF 2022 High-Level Track

H.E. Dr. Jehad Abdulla Alfadhel, is a member of Shura Council in the kingdom of Bahrain since 2012 and serves as the Second Deputy Chair since 2022.

Since 2023, she is Member of the Bahraini delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM).

In February 2024, she was elected chair of the Parliamentary Network of Women Parliamentarians in Africa and the Arab World.

She is the Vice President of the Parliamentary Network for Food Security in Africa and the Arab World since 2019.

Also, she is Member in High Authority for Media and Communication since 2013 

Dr. Al Fadhel earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a focus on Translation from the University of Bahrain (UB) in 2001, a Master of Arts in English Linguistics from the same school in 2004, a Doctorate in Media with an emphasis on Journalism from the University of Bedfordshire in 2009, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education as a joint program between the UB and York St John University in 2011. 

She is interested in Women's issues, Media, Education, Health, and Food Security.
